Just got back fromMorrisons where I happened tio notice that a chocolate bar now costs 9/- - thats 45p for you youngsters - used to be 3d ( 1p ) max when I was a kid.
6d (2½p) magazines now cost 10/-
Cigarette papers used to be 3d for a pack of 100 they are now 4/5 (22p)
Ciggies used to be 3/6 (17½p) for 20 - now we are talking £4.6.5 for 20.

I used to be able to buy candy known as black balls at 3 for one penny...course that was about 35-40 years ago....now ya can't even find 'em

Pro Oh dear, I thought it was just me who converted stuff back into 'old money'. I can often be found exclaiming "What?? Fifteen Bob?!?". My old gran would turn in her grave if she saw the price of butter.
