Only because one part of me says this is a tragedy. But.......

You know what? I`m sick of the name. Honestly, I am. I heard the news on the radio on my way home from work, and before news about cutting waiting lists at the NHS, the closure of Kwiksafe shops, Endemol`s sick kidney show and a football bosses racist comment, we learnt when the McCanns left from which airport to rome and even whom the charter plane belongs to. Go figure!!!
I`d be glad to hear that she has been found safe and alife but why continue to create news where there are none?-

I know what you mean - but this is weird. What other parents have arranged a meeting with pope, a european tour etc etc etc and have such a massive publicity machine for a missing daughter? Something is not quite adding up but I cant put my finger or how or why.

Join the club!
I have said all along that there is something funny about it all and what really annoys me is if it had been the likes of some unfortunate person who was unemplyed single parent living on a housing estate then they would be slated by the press but because they are professional then they are getting all this support an dair time. Think the worst of it was the adverts on the telly.
Don't get me wrong I feel sorry for the child, but for the parents I am just losing all interest and the meeting with the pope is the final straw!
Nothing adds up about this case there are more questions than answers!-

I agree - can they not tone it down a bit until there is some *real* news? I have stopped reading which cannot be what they want...

Same here though I don't read newspapers anyway but it is the constant radio coverage that is getting on my nerves!

As well as the emails I get daily with her picture ont hem, I just delete now which is obviously not what was wanted but there is only so much that can be done

And also the fact that they are professionals and that "something doesn't add up" is generating a lot of suspicion among people who know how ruthless professional people can be, behind the pleasantaries, when they need to save their arses.

I've heard the Rome thing is just a ruse, a red herring, if you will.
My lips are sealed as to their true destination.
But I will say this...
Just watch Big Brother tonight.

Is it not like the kidney give away in Holland?
I do think questions need to be asked of why they have managed to create this publicity machine as they are professionals and not blobby white unhealthy but slim and attractive and yet the poor cow who was a single mum wouldn't and had to take the constant bad mother jibes. (Poor Abby Needham and Ben). God forbid if Abby had been an unattractive child?
There are things that don't add up and I pray the girl is found safe and well but there is a circus element to this that is questionable. I would have had the papal meeting in private and then released a photo to the worlds press and ask the Pope to say prayers for her - not actually have been seen on TV doing it. (see I plan my time well don't I - when I meet the pope)
Sorry for answering a question with a question but why shouldn't you feel so cynical and suspicious about this business?
