He's always been Mr Nearly Man, but we Brits have to have someone to cheer for. We keep thinking well there's always next year, but as he walked off court yesterday I sensed a hint of "That's my lot, I'm retiring!", in his wave.

No he just keeps the ladies of the WI in excitement for two weeks of the year, well actually part of a two week period every year. The sad thing is that he is the most successful tennis player we have produced in decades and he hasn't won anything major that I know of.
