is any other bank or financial establishment as slow and inefficient as Abbey national?

Each month I pay my rent into my landlords account with Abbey Nat.. It never takes less than 40 minutes and today took nearer an hour, and that was with only about 7 customers in front of me.

How can such an operation be so inefficient?

Well, my money was counted 6 times before the receipt was issued. The counter staff have obviously been told to have a friendly face and so every customer gets a 10 minute quota of social chit chat.

If I banked with Abbey Nat personally, I wouldnt!!!
