and knowing how forgetful our kids are 
I bought her a mothers day present on their behalf - Take Thats new DVD of the Beautiful World concert tour.
Now she started to play it on the big telly in the lounge 
- "noooo" I said, "but my DVD player player in my room is broken" she replies. Off I trot to her room , fiddle with some wires, pull some plugs, kick the cat, thump the dvd player - well if it wasnt busted it is now!!!!!
Off I trot to Asda - new DVD player - another £20 - another mothers day present - 
- and so she watches it in her room

Anyways, back to the DVD. 
when she first put it on I caught the opening moments 
. Now admittedly it is a little while since I went to a gig (oh yes I havent always been old - used to be a bit of a 
in my day) - anyways There are all this likkle girlies who have all wrapped daddies (like me? 
) round their likkle fingers and robbed 'em of £80 or whatever for a ticket and one of the first things the band says is "thank you for coming" - thank you for coming? listen pal, dont thank me I paid (out of my daddies paocket) £80 to get in here now entertain me.
Then one of the second things (how many second things can they say?) they say is "we want you all to sing along"!!
WHAT????!!!!! I paid £80 for you to sing to me and entertain me pal - why the **** should I sing and entertain YOU? You gonna pay me?
Then all those likkle girlies that have appeared screaming and dancing and 'singing' on the DVD - have they been paid entertainers rates? (well they should have cos they are funnier than a Tommy Cooper video!! )
No they have been exploited, down trodden, victimised (because of their dappiness) and they were daft enough to pay for the privilege. Ho Hum - doesnt bode well for the future
